Terms And Conditions of Hire
- ADVANCED BOOKINGS: $50 deposit required to confirm your booking.
- Deposit is refundable if weather conditions are unsuitable on the day of the booking.
- Date changes to your booking are only acceptable if 24 hours advance notice is given.
- No refund of deposit for cancellations within 24 hours of your booked day, (except by weather conditions).
- People who do not have a current marine licence and wish to hire Mud 03 - 04 will be given tuition to a gage their ability to operate these boats safely . tuition time can very depending on experience.
- Hirers can expect to have a 30 - 45 minute briefing on the use of all boats regardless of their experience.
- For the hire of licence required boats the minimum age is 21, unlicensed boats are 18 years of age.
We also offer for hire all fishing equipment including:
- Rods
- Hand Lines
- Tackle
- Landing nets
- Gaffs
- Cast Nets
- Crab Pots
- Live Bait Buckets
- We can even supply ice and bait.
- There is a launch & retrieval service available - fees apply to this service.
Area of use is to Cairns in the north and to Proserpine in the south. Tow vehicles are required to be covered by full insurance.

All boats are late model nothing older than 2005. Boats are available for corporate and private use.
These boats are not just for fishermen they can be used for:

Hirers wishing to hire a Licence required boat need to produce proof of licence. Licence required boats are members of the Coast Guard breakdown service so all hirers wishing to go into partially smooth waters are required to fill in a coast guard trip sheet.
Hirers are liable for the loss or damage to any equipment hired from MudPickers that includes any retrieval cost incurred.
